What do you break the rules for?

What do you break your rules for?

Not much makes me break my no-work-on-the-weekend rule these days.

A far cry from where I was at 3yrs ago, a rushed women some may say…

I used to work ALL THE FRICKIN’ TIME!

I would work in my “job”, then I would go home and work in my business.

I would work on weekends, week nights, early mornings, public holidays, school holidays, … all the time! I had no boundaries. I wanted success and thought that was the way to get it. I also had some serious ego driven issues… more of that another time 🤯

Well, fast forward to now, and I couldn’t have much stronger boundaries if I tried!

I have strict hours for clients, for study, for work, for business development, for after school activities and for hockey. I have a balance…of sorts…

It all fits, it all works, and it all suits me right now.

So there isn’t much that I allow in to change my “balance” (juggle?) these days…

Except hockey.

Hockey generally gets priority, over many things, most of the time…

Just ask my kids 😀

And so today, whilst I don’t normally “work” on the weekend, today I made an exception to work on a grant for a girls mentoring program that I am helping facilitate at our local club.

I allow it because it is something I am passionate about, and, well… it’s also hockey 🤩🤩 🏑🏑🏑

So what is it that you break your rules for? What is the one thing in your life that you are happy to take on anytime anywhere? What is your passion? What is your hockey? 💜💜
